Live Friday: 11-23-07
Hope everybody had a lovely Thanksgiving. And if you're not American, I hope your Thursday was also enjoyable. The past couple days have been backlogged with all sorts of things I've had to do, and looks like that won't be letting up until Sunday or so. I've thrown together this quick Live Friday post for you, not only because it's Friday and that's what I normally do, but also because it's the second-to-last Live Friday of 2007. You'll understand better what I mean when December hits. So to save some time, I'll tell you this. The Hives really are at their best in a live setting. I have not directly witnessed the raw power they bring to the stage first hand, however there's plenty of video evidence seeming to show that they're one of the best live bands in the world. That kinda sorta comes out in recorded live material, so if that serves as some sort of comfort to you, that's good. Here are a couple of Hives classic tracks as performed live sometime in the past couple years. They are very enjoyable, and if you're even a casual fan of the band I'd recommend downloading them. Now then...back to the holiday shopping frenzy! The Hives- Hate to Say I Told You So (Live)
