Too Close for Comfort

New Bloc Party album out today (digitally only), in case you've been living underneath a rock. It's titled "Intimacy." I don't have a review of it or anything for you, partially because I don't really have time and partially because I need to give it about 10 more spins before I can have a fully formed opinion of it.

My initial reaction? It's better than "A Weekend in the City," but yet again does not top "Silent Alarm." Really though, could we honestly have expected something to top "Silent Alarm"? But like I said, more analysis later.

I am also, unfortunately, not going to give you any mp3s from the album. The band themselves said they weren't "pulling a Radiohead" and doing a pay what you want system. No, they'd actually like to make some money, if possible. So I'd like to give them that chance. Besides, there's plenty of other places I shall not mention where you might be able to get most of these songs. I will give you a couple of old b-sides though, because they're pretty cool songs that don't get around that much. Enjoy, and buy "Intimacy" if you've got $10-20 to spare. Sure, I guess that's me recommending it.
