Live Friday: 9-19-08

If you're not on board with The National by now, what are you waiting for? The band seems to get bigger by the day, and last year's "Boxer" showed once again that they continue to be a force to be reckoned with. And so, though much of the hype and year-end lists have been 9 months gone, "Boxer" remains an essential part of my mp3 playlist. For those of us still stoking the embers of that wonderful record on a regular basis, I offer you a few tracks from the album that the band performed at a Rhapsody Rocks session in New York around "Boxer"'s release.

The National- Mistaken for Strangers (Live)
The National- Brainy (Live)
The National- Slow Show (Live)
The National- Fake Empire (Live)
